Lemas Plate and Sheetmetal Rolling Machines – Produced in Taiwan since 1950
There are a few reasons why it might be time to upgrade to a new set of Plate Rollers.
- Improved reliability
- Increased capacity
- Improved safety
- Improved repeatability
Or perhaps it is because that old banger you bought with manually adjusted side rolls is just plain nasty to use.
Any operator will tell you rolling metal or aluminium plate is just as much art as science and the harder the machine is to use, the more it becomes art and the less it becomes a science. Businesses are then placed in an awkward position, finding and retaining good operators that can consistently produce a quality product.
Power Machinery was recommended by their U.S colleagues to take a good look at Lemas as suppliers of smaller capacity plate rollers; for this, we are grateful. With a comprehensive range from 1.0m x 2.0mm up to 3.0m x 6.0mm capacity, Lemas catered for a relevant section of Australian fabricators that were starving for a good quality machine.
For Power Machinery, no other machine tool producer was building reasonably priced hydraulic single and double pinch plate rolls in three and four roll configurations designed for production environments for short or long runs.
From an operator’s point of view, no other producer provided machines with hydraulically adjusted side rolls with digital readout, and hydraulic drop ends, making it super easy to remove your cylinders.
Once you have handheld push button control of the side rolls, you would never go back to the old-fashioned motorized screws or worse manually adjusted hand wheels and one a press of a button drops down the yoke to slide off your newly rolled cylinder, and you won’t go back to the labour intensive and dangerous practice of swinging the whole top toll out of the machine either.
