The Opportunity – About the Role

This is an office-based sales role covering all states and territories. You’ll be the primary point of contact for fabricators, engineers, and manufacturers who rely on precision machinery to run their businesses.

You’ll bring product knowledge, commercial acumen, and genuine relationship-building skills to a role that offers real earning potential and long-term career growth.

No two days look the same — you might be on-site with a steel fabricator one morning and presenting a capital equipment proposal to a manufacturing business the next.

If you thrive on variety, technical conversations, and closing meaningful deals, this role is for you.

Day to Day – What You’ll Be Doing

  • Drive sales of specialised metalwork machinery Australia wide, with autonomy
  • Identify new business opportunities and build lasting relationships with fabrication workshops, engineering businesses and manufacturers
  • Provide expert advice on product specifications and applications — matching the right machine to the customer’s exact requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers to discuss customer requirements and confirm specifications are achievable
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, accurate quotes and professional proposals
  • Collaborate with the sales team, marketing and management to develop and execute regional sales strategies
  • Stay current with industry trends, new product releases and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge

Who we’re looking for – The Ideal Candidate

You don’t need to have sold bandsaws before — but you do need to understand the world our customers operate in. Experience in industrial, capital equipment or B2B machinery sales is highly regarded.

  • Proven track record in industrial or capital equipment sales
  • Confident communicator — comfortable at all levels from workshop floor to boardroom
  • Technical aptitude — able to understand and explain machinery specifications
  • Self-motivated with strong territory management skills
  • Relationship builder who plays a long game, not just chasing quick wins
  • Experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal, or engineering sectors (highly regarded)
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Based in or willing to work across Sydney’s Northern Beaches and surrounds
